Step through the courtyard of one of these homes, and you may think you're in Spain! Most of these homes have a low-pitched roof, red tiles, minimal eaves, stucco siding and many arches. Spanish home design became popular in the early 1600's, and have inspired many building styles that are common today. Spanish design is also seen in other buildings styles such as the Spanish Mission style, California ranchos and the Monterey style (blend of New England colonial and Spanish casa styles).
