Ranging in definition by the era, the 70's saw houses with only a single roof pitch or falt to slight roofs (shed roofs), often adaptable for solar heating, clerestory windows (windows high up in a wall)and vertical wood siding to name a few features. The 80's included houses with strong geometric forms, including the use of glass block, and pipe railings. Large overhangs, split and drop floor levels, large amounts of fixed glass, and unique wood and stone facings typify these homes. Exteriors tend to be very plain, and interior designs are extremely varied but tending to more wide open concepts.
